What Have I Done to Deserve This? (2018 Remaster) is performed by Pet Shop Boys and Dusty Springfield in 1988. PSB songwriters Neil Tennant, Chris Lowe and Allee Willis included the song in the English synth-pop duo's second studio album, Actually (1987). They appeared live and lip-synced on the 1988 BRIT Awards. The British Phonographic Industry's annual popular music awards were held at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London.

The song was a commercial success in both the United Kingdom and the United States. When released as a single in August 1987, "What Have I Done to Deserve This?" peaked at number 2 in the United Kingdom and also at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the fourth top ten hit for Pet Shop Boys as well as Dusty Springfield's biggest hit in the United States. The song helped revive Dusty Springfield's career, leading to a resurgence of interest in her music. Dusty died in 1999 at age 59.
