In this powerful and reflective build, I had the honor of building with one of the original architects of HipHop culture—DJ Tony Tone of the world-renowned Cold Crush Brothers.

DJ TONY TONE
From the streets of the Bronx in the late '70s to being inducted into the Smithsonian Museum of African American History in 2016, DJ Tony Tone helped set a global foundation for what HipHop would become. Co-founder of Cold Crush alongside DJ Charlie Chase, he’s responsible for early anthems like “The Weekend”, “Punk Rap Rock”, and “Fresh, Wild, Fly and Bold,” as well as contributing to the groundbreaking film Wild Style (1982), which became a cornerstone of HipHop cinema.
